Once you used EAD your status is AOS. You can't go back to H4/H1 unless some bad thing happened like 485 is denied.
once started usign EAD you can't go and come on H4/H1 status...
you have to use AP for travelling. If you have a doubt talk to the atternoy that filed your 485.

Were you rejected for EB2 because yours was not equal to US Masters or because you didnt have 5 years after yours bachelors degree? I guess you are aware that the experience you gain with your employer who filed your GC cannot be included in the 5 years. I think you have a fair chance if you only have to be equivalent to US Bachelors degree.

Which attorney is charging that much to file for H1??
I had to edit it...since 6 of them got the H1...so, its 22 -6 = 16

You mean to say CIR will be introduced to the immigration or judiciary senate committee or introduce directly to the senate. If it is introduced directly to the senate floor that will save a lot of time, on the flip side it will become difficult to add or change provisions if it is directly introduced to the senate bypassing the senate judiciary and immigration committee
Bills almost never go to the floor directly. Especially something as huge as CIR. It will go thru committee again and it will go thru normal rounds of debate and amendments between the 18 people in Judiciary committee.
Its very unusual for a bill to hit the floor directly without going thru the committee that has jurisdiction over it. If it happens all the time, then the committees would be meaningless. The whole point of having a committee is to be able to either kill the entire bill, or a congressional appointment before such a bill / confirmation is debated by all 100 senators. Same thing in the House.

I really empathize with your frustration! In fact, I'm also in the same boat.
My EAD renewal was filed on May 18th, and the RFE was issued on June 25th. I've not received the RFE yet, and I was told to wait for 15 days. Also, the CS Rep told me that the 90 day clock stops after the RFE was issued.
Not knowing the reason for the RFE is causing too much stress than the actual wait. At this point, I've no other choice than waiting. My EAD and Driver's License expires on Aug 10th.
This is the reason why I tried to maintain H1B. On H1, at least you can work if you have a renewal receipt. Unfortunately, I lost that status last year when I was laid off during recession.

When I called after 15 days, they created a Service Request to re-mail the RFE. Now they say, I have to wait for 45 days. When I asked them if they will extend my deadline to reply to the RFE, she said she doesn't know.
Has anyone been in this situation ?

I wanted to get an idea how many EB2 guys would be willing to visit DC to meet lawmakers to help out our EB3 brothers. Unquestionably all EB3 should be willing to visit. This is the chance to show that IV is indeed one.

I don't think it is true. My lawyer said using AP will not invalidate H1B.
I have seen many people saying they came through AP and extended H1B , some even 3 times.
Anyway, I am travelling outside and planning to use my AP while coming back. I will post a message if I come through H1B

Since your GC is for future employment, your current employer might not be able to support you on H1 but you can always get them to support you for future employment and so they can still not revoke your 140 petition process. So if possible be on good terms with them and ask them to keep your 140 process intact
I have a I-485 pending, and there is a chance I may be laid off after 180 days. Would I have to have another similar job offer at hand, or can I still continue looking for a job after 180 days of I-485 till I find one ?

My current H1 is going to expire on june 07 along with my wife's H4. I applied today for my extension along with the H4 in premium processing. Shall i go ahead with the new H1 for my wife on April 1 in regular processing even without waiting for the extension or wait for the approval?

Your H1 and her H4 should be approved by Apr 1st as you did PP. Even if its not approved she is still fine as she has status until Jun 7th. Even if her H4 is not approved and only your H1 gets approved with PP and if USCIS happens to process her H1 before H4 they will issue an RFE asking to prove her status (which is pending approval). my sponsered employer willing to promote me with my position and i was having thought of filing a new case in eb2 and port my eb3 priority date. my company has different sister company working in different areas, can I file my eb2 application from other sister company not from the company where my eb3 is filed?
Also I have 3 years degree and 1 year pgdca plus 10 plus years of experience. I wanted to know if you know anybody who filed eb2 with 3 years degree and 1 year pgdca? according to my research i may have trouble at 140 stage?
if my eb2 gets denied, what happens to my eb3 case?
Please advice.

Greencard and H-1B expenses should be paid by the employer. Anything else is illegal.
I have heard the above from a lawyer. I think there is lot truth in the above statement.
However, in teaching the Univ processes H1B and most faculty pay the USCIS fees. I have written a check to USCIS for my H1B fees. Most faculty also pay their GC dues including lawyer + USCIS fees.
I have also heard that faculty can negotiate for the Deptt to pay the H1B + GC fees.
