We have been to a doc in PA
Shots & all the test no X-Ray: $400 x 2 adults (myself and spouse).
Did this in a hurry to facilitate attorney to send I-485 and deliver to USCIS on July 2nd.
I saw some great deal of info and ideas from IV ers on saving few bucks with proper planning! Will keep in mind next time if needed.

What happens to the May 15th cutoff date

I'm not sure everyone who is eligible to apply is out of the woods yet. For instance, if the new bill passes and the May 15th date remains, then all 140 and 485 applications filed after that date will be null and void. So, I guess we still need to keep our focus on changing the bill in it's current form.

To be eligible for a stimulus payment, taxpayers must have valid Social Security Numbers. Anyone who does not have a valid Social Security Number, including those who file using an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN), an Adoption Taxpayer Identification Number (ATIN) or any other identification number issued by the IRS is not eligible for this payment. Both individuals listed on a married filing jointly return must have valid Social Security Numbers to qualify for a stimulus payment.

Thanks for the reply guys. Can any one give me some info about the school which accepts 15 years of education (B.Com) for doing masters. I have done 2 years of Advanced Diploma in Systems Management from NIIT. Wont it be considered as 16th year education?
As I am already working in IT for more than 10 years, It is very difficult for me to change the industry from IT to Accounting.

How do we add this info in the IV tracker ?
Click on 'quick links' on top right. In the dropdown, click edit profile.
We need PD information and stage of GC process information so that we can create an analysis document and show the powers that be how much backlogged people are in the process.
Maybe when we answer a post, we make it a habit to ask people to update profiles with such details. What do you think about this ? Also, Some people reported some bugs in the tracker. If you find bugs or have suggestions to improve IV tracker please PM me. We will improve it.

I indicated in my pending I-140 wanted to go for consular processing abroad instead of adjustment of status (i-485)...What happens to this situation..does that mean i can get an interview date in 3months?

hello guys
I was returing after 3 weeks vacation from india and i went for stamping at new delhi adn got 3 years h1b ( this is my first h1b ext ). At POE officer was rude and he told me that he knew that I am not working as what my docs says. I gave him all letters and all that still he was saying that where did i get computer traning ??? etc.. I told that I have MS in Com Scie from USA but still he was rude and even I had valid stamp for 3 years he gave me only 2 years of I 94. when I asked how to get that one more year he simply said exit and re enter OR talk to ACS ( may be he means USCIS )..
so it could be true taht people may be turned back at POE.

I am in same boat..I applied my H1b 2nd extension in third week of may, through premium processing at VSC...VSC sent RFE about my company...I am working for same company from 2003 and I never changed employer in USA.....I am working at same client site from 2005 -till date ....Here are some of the details of my RFE....my attorney replied back in July 3rd week but haven;t got the response yet.....I sent the client letter also describing my job duties.....I got my I-140 approved 485 pending more than a year.....In case if H1b extension gets denied...will this impact my 140 and 485....I appreciate any help on this....

-All business contracts that specifically name of Alien ( Me) as the Consultant on behalf of H1B company..
-2007 Federal Income Tax Extension form; Quarterly return of 2006
-Current business contract of Alien ( Me) with the position in at the client.
-Dates of service, clients that Alien currently working on, and a description of his job duties from my H1B company and Organizational Chart of H1B company.
-Letter from the Client in which Alien is contracted to, stating: job duties.

I got the same RFE and my 140 was pending at that time. In my denial letter, uscis officer mentioned lot of employees with their WAC numbers mentioned that they haven't got properly paid for each quarter. The letter completely talks about my ex-employer and if your company has many people on bench, even though you are in good shape with your W-2's and current contracts, it may cause problem for your H1-B petition. It don't say that my ex-employer had violated lot of rules on purpose, USCIS happened to be very strict about implementing every rule from 2007. I have contacted sheela murthy firm at that time and they have suggested me to file AC21 after 140 gets approved(luckily approved), file H1-B and another labor , another 140 just in case if USCIS goes after approved 140's because of fraud or any other reason and denies them. I do not have any idea about the impact of H1-B denial on I-485 and i seriously doubt it coz 485 is completely our application. However 140 may cause issues. Please find out about that from a good attorney and please keep us posted. Let me know if you need more information on this matter..

Don't believe whatever is written in Visa bulletin. "Low Visa Number Usage" is an eyewash term used to justify all the insane bulletin movements.
Even if there was low visa usage, why should they make it all current ? They could have moved the bulletin by couple of years.
My take is, gov wanted all legal GC applicants to get in line before illegals flooded the USCIS queue.

I am disappointed to see this discussion 'Restricting H1B for country limit' going on on this forum. Guys be focussed don't mess up the issue, remember it has become impossible to have 1 thing just 1 thing passed in the congress and 1 administrative fix pass by USCIS(eg. Congress hasn't passed anthing on immigration in past 7 years and after such hue and cry for 2 years EAD, AP USCIS just came up with 2 years EAD that too with too many 'if, then' conditions and no relief for AP) So instead to starting to even talk to weird ideas please stay focussed as only 3 steps can help us.
1) Visa Recaptures
2) Remove country Limits

I have read many of your earlier posts. Presumably you are a EB1. That is good. Unfortunately you seem to create some confusion in the minds of many suffering due to the backlog and also seem to derive pleasure by commenting about non EB1 folks! That is your choice, though it is sad. I also remember to have read a note, that you are from China. Not really sure what your intentions are. From our side, we have our own issues and are exploring various avenues to draw the attention of law makers, voice our concerns and address our grievances. I am not interested in vitriolic exchanges or debates here. Many of us have crossed the 10 year mark and have serious issues on different fronts.
If IV or any organized forum come up with a plan, many Indians falling under the EB2/EB3 categories, including myself will support. Incidentally, Satyagraha is a peace method advocated by Mahatma Gandhi, a great leader of our country.

We are close to 13,000 members. The total legal- EB community is estimated to be 500,000. Even if we consider 200,000 households, We havent even reached 10% of people affected. This large group 94% of people have no clue what is going on, and how their lives are going to be affected. Please talk to everyone now.
